Happy New Year!
I have some big news to share with all of you super soon! In the interim, I wanted to let you know that last month, I participated in “February Album Writing Month (FAWM)” - a wonderful community for songwriters with the challenge to write and record (demo) 14 songs in 28 days. I got a late start but met my personal goal of 7 songs in 14 days. An incredible personal feat. This process was super emotional as I wrote about things I’ve never had the courage to write about and pushed me to be the kind of songwriter I never dreamed I could be. I hope you’ll take a moment out of your day and listen to all 7 songs (actual time: 27 minutes).

This is the score for El Espiritu’s origin story. I was inspired by the Bolivian Folk Music I grew up listening to with my dad and grandfather that always featured such a wonderful marriage between Zampoña (Bolivian Pan Flute) and Nylon Guitar. This is my first score and was done using all Garage Band instruments (due to limited resources).
