These are just the demos.  In June, Marcela plans to record this EP, but she can’t do it without your help.  Contribute TODAY through Indiegogo:  http://igg.me/p/101244

She has until June 15th to raise $3,000. This will cover all recording, editing, mastering, and duplication costs.  This record CANNOT be made without your contribution.

“Recovery is lonely.  So, when you find someone who went through what you did, their story becomes a beacon of hope and understanding.  This EP is my way of saying thank you.  I want to tell my story.  I want to help others like me.”
-Marcela on why she decided to make and record “After The Accident”

Airbag/Everything In Its Right Place - Marcela Carmona (Radiohead Cover)

Performed and Arranged by Marcela Carmona

I was so inspired by Radiohead’s performance at Coachella this year, I stayed up all night playing and singing their songs.  This little mash-up is the result of my all-night.

Wednesday Night (April 11th) - Marcela will perform 3 songs (joined by Abby Posner) at LA Women in Music’s monthly “Singer-Songwriter Night”

Doors open at 7pm (Meet the Artists!)

New song alert! One day I’ll stop writing songs about all the men who done me wrong…

Friday night, Marcela and her band will be joined by 4-piece horn section “Dirty Rotten Horns” for a set of music that will guarantee to blow your mind.  She’ll also be debuting a new song, bring up special guests, and be joined by a group of background singers for two stellar closing numbers!

Also playing that night:  Sorry, Nelson.  FearMia.  Noble Creatures.  4 of LA’s best bands all one stage.  For only $5.  BE THERE.

Ring of Fire - Marcela Carmona (Johnny Cash/June Carter Cash Cover)

New Year’s Resolution: Post a song a week.
I lost my voice due to an awful mutant flu that took out of commission for two weeks.  Today is the first day I’ve been able to sing. :)  This is the perfect “I hate that I love you” song and pretty much sums up where things are with me at the moment… Also, my keyboard is broken which is why it’s on the autoharp.  Enjoy!

Marcela will perform a stripped down bluesy set this Saturday night at CTO’s annual Black Valentine’s Event at Trip in Santa Monica.  Accompanied by Abby Posner (of FearMia and Abby Posner Music), Marcela will close the night with a gritty set of originals and covers. Featuring some of LA’s best bands (Big Joe Hurt, Noble Creatures, Cliff Beach Experience), this night promises to be nothing short of amazing.

And… it’s FREE!  RSVP now on the Facebook Event Page.

Borderline - Marcela Carmona (Madonna Cover).

New Year’s Resolution: Post a song a week.  This week’s song is a cover of a woman I’ve been a fan of since I was old enough to dance and sing.

Challenge: My Michael Jackson cover is 200 shy of 1,000 views!  Help me reach 1,000 views by the end of the week!  Rate, Comment, and Share!  I know we can totally do this! <3
