Marcela Carmona - Music Teacher

Marcela is an experienced private music teacher specializing in Voice and Piano lessons for students of all ages.

Piano Lessons
Marcela provides her piano students with a strong foundation of theory, technique, and performance through encouragement and patience.  

Voice Lessons
Marcela’s voice lessons focus strongly on breathing technique.  Through warm-ups, performance pieces, and exercises, she has helped her students build confidence, prepare for auditions, and rehearse for performances.

About The Teacher
Vocal Background: Marcela has been singing her entire life.  Performing in professional, religious, and school choirs since the age of 4.  She has appeared as a featured vocalist on numerous studio recordings.

Piano Background: Marcela began playing piano at the age of 3 after displaying natural ability.  Although most teachers felt 3 years was too young, a family friend graciously offered .  She consistently ranked in the top 1% of piano students in the State of California (Certificate of Merit Program).  After 14 years of classical training, Marcela decided to pursue songwriting.  

Marcela currently performs as a singer/songwriter/pianist in and around the Los Angeles area.  She appears with her band, as a soloist, and as a guest vocalist with several other bands.
